PLA operates the Save Your Home Philly hotline (215-334-HOME) which provides advice, brief service, and connects thousands of callers to housing counselors each year. PLA's Unemployment Compensation Unit supports unemployed workers navigating Pennsylvania's unemployment compensation system. In addition to individual advocacy for clients, PLA’s UC Unit has been instrumental in advocating for workers’ rights on a larger scale in Pennsylvania. The Taxpayer Support Clinic at Philadelphia Legal Assistance assists low-income taxpayers in Philadelphia who have disputes with the IRS. We assist individuals who
